Bon alors finalement, il me donne...

Il me dit, 'Vous avez regardé?'

So in the end, he gives me... So in general, I make it a principle, when I'm working with a director that I don't know, he always has the tendency to say, 'Here, if you want I'll show you the films I made before'. I never want to see them, because I prefer to talk because of those communication problems, try to make my own opinion without going through the filter of an entire team who worked on... So and I think if by any chance I notice that I am getting nowhere, that I can't understand everything that he wants, maybe at that point I'll think. But I never tried to see the films others had done.

So I... And he says, 'Here, I'll give you two tapes'. So one of them was I Can No Longer Hear The Guitar. I Can No Longer Hear The Guitar. And I don't remember what the second one was. He says, 'Watch them and we'll meet again in about ten days'. So that, that had the ability to annoy me, so I looked, since it was two tapes, I watched them in fast forward, and once in a while I'd stop to see what had been done. So I go back to see him and he asks me, 'Did you watch them?' I say, 'Yes, I watched them'. 'So what do you think?' I say, 'Listen, what I think... it's annoying because I don't like saying bad things about my colleagues, but I think that the photo is absolutely horrendous'. 'So yes, but it's normal because I asked for it to be that way'. 'Oh well', I say, 'So listen, that makes it easier. Don't wait for me to do the film, it's completely out of the question for me'. 'For you to do a horrendous photo?' 'For me to do a horrendous photo, well, for you to ask me to such a horrendous photo'. He says, 'But no, listen, I would really like us to do this film together, you do whatever photo you like, I won't say anything'. So I said, 'All right'. And so I agreed because I thought I'll see the other guy's face, since it didn't last very long, I think it was a film that lasted six weeks, so I thought, 'Well, we'll see'. And in the end, two weeks before filming started, the guy said he didn't want to make the film anymore because they had forgotten to sign the contract.

[Q] The actor?

The actor. So he was replaced by I don't remember what his name is, who in fact is very good, the star of the film.

[Q] It's 'Wild Innocence' isn't it?

No, it's The Birth of Love.

[Q] Ah, yes, 'The Birth of Love'.
